The department of Anatomy came into existence Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Government Medical College, Kannauj in year 2012 with intake of 1st Batch of 100 MBBS students. Department is also running MD (Anatomy) course with intake of 5 PG/year since year 2024. For Gross Anatomy teaching department has embalming facility, cadaver storage tank and cold storage plant and Gross anatomy laboratory for students at a time, Museum with sufficient number of dissected/displayed parts/specimens of human body/ embryology models/charts. For microscopic anatomy there is UG histology laboratory and Postgraduate research lab.

One seminar room is used for PG seminar and journal club, as a part PG training. Equipments include cadaver injector, electric saw, different kinds of microtomes (rotary, sliding and freezing), distillation plant, overhead and slide projectors, incubator and ovens, computers, laptop and LED projectors. Research laboratories include PG research lab, Neuroanatomy and Embryology lab. A small departmental library is also there. Teachers of the department have published their research works in many reputed national and international journals.
